Debby's Story
Debby has Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and was concerned that she might be at greater risk for colorectal cancer as a result. In addition, she was apprehensive that because of her condition, the colonoscopy procedure would prove to be extremely uncomfortable. “What was particularly reassuring was the fact that Dr. Karowe alleviated my concerns in regard to possible pain with the colonoscopy,” Debby continues. “He said that he would take some additional biopsies due to the IBS and was very willing to be ‘generous with the medications’ as long as my vitals allowed.
