Four Saturdays in March (2009) -- Gastroenterology of the Rockies, together with Boulder Community Hospital, is conducting a special program in recognition of Colon Cancer Awareness Month. We are reaching out to public and private employers in Boulder County holding seminars and Saturday colonoscopy screenings for their employees. We may have some additional screening openings on these days for the general public. Please call our scheduling team at 303-444-4066 to inquire.
Colorectal Cancer & Screening Presentation – Boulder (March 2, 2009) -- Dr. Joel Montbriand will give a free, one-hour presentation about colorectal cancer. The talk will include information about how it develops, risk factors, screening guidelines and options, and lifestyle changes that improve digestive and colon health.  Co-sponsored by Boulder Community Hospital. Time: 11:30 am. Location: West Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe, Boulder, CO 80302 -- just west of the Boulder Public Library.
IBS Lecture -- Boulder (March 18, 2009) -- A talk by Dr. Daus Mahnke on Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).  A Spice of Life Center, 5706 Arapahoe, 11:30 am to 1 pm.  Cost: $12.50 for soup/salad buffet and lecture. Reservations required: 303-441-0580 or email Boulder Community Hospital.
Boulder Colonoscopy Party for Women -- Boulder (March 8, 2008) -- Gastroenterology of the Rockies Endoscopy Center (location) -- 7 am – 1:00 pm. Women's Colonoscopy Party -- Boulder (March 11, 2006)
Many women avoid having colorectal cancer screenings out of fear. To help settle their nerves a bit, Gastroenterology of the Rockies has teamed up with Boulder Community Hospital to host a “Colonoscopy Party” on Sat., March 11-- complete with massages and gifts.
